I have an '09 Assault 800 146", it has the:
'10 engine updates
SLP single and can
19/42 Gearing
stock secondary besides 2 delrin washers
SLP MTX 68g weights 2 grams in base and 1 gram in tip with grn/pink spring
tech dude at SLP recommended this setup for my altitude (which is 5000-6500 mostly) I am seeing 8100 rpms if i am lucky on the trail. but the bigger problems is when i hammer the throttle it quickly builds to 7800 rpm then slowly climbs to 8000 or so and does not pull as hard as it did with stock clutching (which had 10-62 weights)
I am wondering how much weight to take out and where to take it out of, the tip or the base? it just does not have the pull or top end it did before and it sucks cause i was expecting a nice improvement over stock. feel like it should pull 8200+ quickly and hold it, with everything else the same it just seems more sluggish on upshift now
THANKS!
