Can I bolt a 2017 monoblock cylinder onto the 2014 crankcase and just plug the injector hole and use the 2017 piston assembly ?

any and all opinions welcome .

Yes it will bolt on to the '14 crankcase, BUT you will NOT be able to run it as the exhaust valves have changed on the HO engines. You can't run the HO exhaust valves either as they require the ECU controlled solenoid to operate them and your ECU is not capable to work that solenoid. Lots of changes were made made from the 800CFI to the 800HO, some are interchangeable some are not.

As for the injector hole, there's only one injector port per cylinder. I believe you are thinking of the 800CFI4 from the 2008 to 2010 years.

Yes the pistons from a '17 will work on your '14.

I wasn't aware of the electronically controlled EVs

am I right in thinking that all the 2016 stuff is intercangeable ?
