I have an 06 adreniline 800 151. The sled works great but always left wanting more. It has Stock clutching and I have dropped the gearing down a bit to 20-45. I can only holds 41 MPH track speed give or take a couple.
I weigh about 195 before all my gear. I have been told to put in a spring with more finish preasure and throw maore wiehgt in it?
I have also been told to drop the gearing to 20-47. It holds 8000 RPM so that isn't the problem.
I would like to know what has worked for others. Facts would be best but certainly open to suggestions.
Thanks

Dynamo Joe. thats what you need. At least i hope so anyway. everybody that has one of his clutch kits say there are the bomb. so I ordered one up. has'nt got here yet, but they say its the best bang for the buck.

Stiffer primary.

Stock. 160-230

I use 160-290 8-10 feet Part # 415 034 900

Some guys like 160-320 #414 817 900

I tried Joe's kit. Nice guy. I didn't like the engagement with joe's kit. It hit to hard for me on the bottom while I was moving real slow in the trees or up against some other object.
I sold his kit and installed the 160-290 primary and like that much better.

After I sold the kit Joe said he could have customized his kit to my liking with no extra charge. I'm sure he would have gotten it just the way I wanted it if I had kept the kit.

Either way, stiffer spring or a Kit from Joe will improve the sled. It helped with belt wear also.

I ride a 8-10 thousand feet.

No I didn't have to add any weight. I have the stock hollow pins. It is no big deal to put in a set screw into the pin if needed. I just ran mine stock with the 160-290.
The guys running 160-320 may have added weight? You can also buy a pin set that comes with a bunch of different set screw weights.
Joe's kit comes with a pin set. He has good instructions and tips for the correct weight.

I was happy with the 160-290 so I quit fiddleing with things and went riding.

O yea, I am using 19/45 gears but I have 10 tooth drivers and you have 9 tooth. You may try a 19 top gear. Two teeth on the bottom? I don't think you will even notice any difference. The 19/45 combo leaves a pretty big dog leg in the chain around the adjuster. That is why lots of guys are installing a 47 bottom. 19/47 , 20/45 and 19/45 use the same chain. 20/47 you may be buying a new chain also.

I have both a 19 and a 47 tooth so i think i will go with the 47 it is time for a new chain anyways.
Anyone try oversized rollers in there clutch?
I ordered some from Fett brothers I think I am going to do the same as my one buddy did and see how I fair.
Anyone know where you can find out the numbers compaired to spring preasure?
