700 dragon with 1000 miles what should I be looking at for maintenance?

Every year the sled goes to the dealer for a Pre-Season inspection, but I am looking into wear items that would not be generally caught in the inspections.

For Example;

I just installed new exhaust valve bellows, should I have replaced the springs (it was a dealer install)?

Should I look at getting a primary spring or should I get the primary and secondary rebuilt?

How many more miles should I go on the top end?

I’m replacing the suspension so I am not rebuilding the shocks this year.

Was there anything I missed?

Wash and Wax! 700 Dragons are some of the most dependable sleds Polaris ever put out.

1. Exhaust valve springs: Take a good look at the right side spring (exhaust can side), they get water in them from the drip hole in the air intake chamber in the hood directly above it when the hood is closed. Polaris couldn't have lined them up more perfectly if they tried. I recommend you seal off the factory vent hole and drill a new one to the side.

2. Clutch springs: Replace them and add delrin washers in the secondary while your in there.

3. Top End: You have many more years until you need to rebuild it!

4. Other items to replace/maintain: Replace the fuel filter, have the dealer grease the jack shaft bearing (it's not a normal zerk, it takes a needle type tip), check clutch alignment. I'm sure there's more, but I don't know what your dealer normally checks.

At the end of each season, I pull both clutches and run them thru the dishwasher, then tear them down and inspect them closely for any bushing wear/ roller damage and such..at the start of the new season I pop them back apart and install new springs(I do run delrin washers as well). I grease every grease fitting, pull off the ski's and clean and grease the ski pivot bushings, I run seafoam fuel cleaner/stabilizer thru the fuel system, I service the oil in the chaicase, I make a list of any work that needs done before the start of next season and put it in the dashbag so I dont forget anything in the fall...I normally replace the driveshaft clutch side bearing every season(snow/water gets in them and rust the bearing). I look the whole chassis/suspensions over really good for any signs of damage/cracks/bends. I inspect the shocks for leakage..and rebuild if needed... and I do run some fresh brake fluid thru the brakes to get any contaminents out...

In addition to the aforementioned items;
-Check front PTO side engine mount for a broken bolt.
-Check wiring harness around the top of the steering hoop for rubbing and chafing.

Gearbox: Didnt see this mentioned, but I was looking quickly....drain the gearbox oil and adjust chain tension.
Also grease the suspension.
