going to pick up my new cylinders next week and iam in need of some pistons. I did a quick search and come up with very little info, what would be a good set of pistons for me and going to be running my slp race twins later on in the year i hope to be turboed:D, my guess is oem is my best option but i hear there exspensive what do they cost?

If your going twins or turbo put oem pistons in, they will take the abuse in a high hp build. oem ones run around $150 a piece and come with pin, circlips and rings. new wrist pin bearing isnt included.

Now if you decide to go after market do not put in wiesco, they are complete garbage in this application.

OEM are about all that is even available for the 700 CFI, Get ahold of Freeagent on here and see what she can do for you on price, you might be surprised.

Just curios as why you think the wiesco pistons will be garbage in that application?

I think stock Polaris pistons are crap. I had one crack in two spots from the top of the piston to the ring and score the cylinder wall pretty good.

I also am interested is why wiesco pistons would be complete garbage in this application. My 700 will need pistons before the year is done and other then longer warm up times I thought forged was better.
One could be more specific then just "complete garbage".

Seems like I heard that Jack Struthers at Carl's Cycle had a new piston for the 800 cfi turbo application. I would think it would be worth a call to see if anything is available for the 700. If anyone knows whats best for a mod Polaris I think it would be jack. Good luck. EW
