$700,000,000 Bail Out... shouldn't heads roll ?

Our governament once again is covering up governament corruption. Why should tax payers have to pay for our corrupt politicians and there constant corrupt and illegal mistakes and handeling of our country.

I am sick of the BS and i hope many of you are sick of BS as well.

Either pay now or pay the FDIC when the banks keep failing!!! At least this way the tax payers may get some of the money back once the economy recovers and people start paying their bills!!

sadly the cash could end up not being worth the paper its printed on

now gold....thats another story

question all of it. It's all garbage and the party interest is sick - Both sides.

My favorite part is that members of Congress want to vote for it, but they dont because they want to protect their own a$$. What ever happened to doing whats best for the country??

It has a lot of people thinking now
Wonder how many are beginning to sweat

Truely a sad deal, what makes me more sick, is that we law abiding, tax paying....BILL PAYING ON TIME people are going to have to pay for these low life scumbag people who sign up for this crap just because the bank says they can. You have a right to say "NO" sometimes. But the polititians think they have to bail out these banks that did the "no doc" an other junk loans when they are only half of it. I say make the idiots who signed up pay their share by putting em to work!

I am on my way to US BANK to take my money out right now.....................

Unfortunately the 7 gazilion dollar bailout is gona cause more problems than its gona fix! In the long run its just gona hurt the value of the dollar. The banks that started all these problems are the criminals here. The people that borrowed the money aren't to blame, but they made their beds and now they have to sleep in them. Those loans sound like great deals, why not take one out to buy a house? These banks have loan commities and financial analyst that decided to give people these loans. they are the ones with the education. They are the greedy ones that caused this mess, and the government should not bail them out. If we do we are just enabeling them further. Unfortunately people are gona sufer either way.

Probably better take a look back to the late 90's when Barney Frank and Compnay in the congress said that money needed to be available to low income families to buy homes....well that changed the rules so that everyone could get a loan without evidence that they could make the payments. In an effort to spread the risk of those loans wallstreet repackaged them into all sorts of financial products. Who is to blame, congress, people lieing about income to get loans, poor judgement from banks and mortgage brokers, and investment banks...etc.... there is plenty of blame to go around.

Fortunately our country seems to operate best during crisis and some of the best solutions come out of the chaos. Time will tell on this one.

Good insight. you are right. There's Oh-so-much-more to the story, but good sum up. The sad thing was that a few in congress (McCain was one of the sponsors actually) tried to put a revamp to fannie and freddie back in 2005 to help stop this very thing from happening, but were stopped by the dems, as they believed a revamp would bring back "unfair" restrictions on low-income earniers from buying homes. Hmmm, maybe "unfair" restrictions were actually Wall Street doing their jobs? Now look where we are! By the way, fannie and freddie have contributed heavily to Obama, Hillary, and Dodd's campaigns. In fact, one of Obama's head economic advisers was the CEO of fannie for the past 7 years. Brilliant choice, Barack.

To be cont'd...

All my money is buried in the "Bank Of Good Earth"....I suggest many of you do the same.

Cash will always be KING

OT

OT - cash is king... but only if you use it to buy low. Cash is gonna be king for the next few years. Hopefully you ref'ied your home on some crazy no-doc loan and then you'll have heaps of green standing by to purchase all sorts of crazy deals on repo'd T-Nytros, Cummins Mega cabs, etc... ;) ha ha

also the bailout should be looked at by us "we the people". their plan cost is for approx 2500 for every man, woman, and child in the u.s which doesnt sound too awfully bad right? WRONG!

now how many people in that figure actually work and pay taxes to support this "bailout"? you have the children, the elderly, and the handicapped, and mentally i'll and those that just dont work, and or on welfare, and or unemployed. then you have the rich people and those that can find a loophole not needing to repay this. well, you might as well knock that figure down to about 30% of the remainder of the populous will be paying that back. so it will come out of YOUR pocket in taxation at about the cost of 10,000 or more dollars for this one plan. also i believe the govt got us into this, now the people should be able to vote on this wether we want OUR money spent that way. OR NOT!

we truley need to pull back from the world, take care of ourselves, pay our world debts, recall our world debts dating back to ww1-and2, close the borders and send back ILLEGAL immigrants, enforce and help legal immigration. and take care of number one FOR A CHANGE. may sound harsh to pull back everywhere around the world but, what does a large company do when they tighten the belt for budget reasons? DOWNSIZE.

this bailout is nothing more than a shell game, and the hardworking middle class will again be burdened with the taxation to make richer people richer. i invested in a home i can afford, i didnt over extend my budget, i have almost everything but my home paid for and live tight but comfortable. what am i going to get as a reward? I get to pay for someone elses bailout of being over credited, over extended, and not enough cash flow to pay their daily living expenses. they will get to start over with no penalty, and again the middle class provides the hard work and labor to get them there. FREE TO THEM!

IF YOU ALL ARENT MAD AS HELL ABOUT THIS, YOU SERIOUSLY DONT SEE THE WHOLE PICTURE. PEOPLE WHO PAID THEIR BILLS WILL GET THE SHAFT ON THIS. PEOPLE WHO OVER EXTENDED THEIRSELVES WILL GET OFF FREE.

i am not saying let it all fail, but cleansing this cese pool of greed needs to start with the rich. we the people dont need this bailout. the rich do, and again the politicians and govt are giving OUR money to them to do so. so i'll say it again cause it bears repeating....

IF YOU ALL ARENT MAD AS HELL ABOUT THIS, YOU SERIOUSLY DONT SEE THE WHOLE PICTURE. PEOPLE WHO PAID THEIR BILLS WILL GET THE SHAFT ON THIS.

It's not just BANKS that have problems folks. America operates on a lot of EXTRA FAT that all of us tax payers have been paying for years. $700,000,000,000 is probably not even close to the real problem. Rumor has it that the bail out could reach $2 Trillion

Medicare is in big trouble, Pentions are in big trouble, our trade inbalance is in big trouble, Insurance/Health care is in big trouble.....Our dollar in europe is worth only .55 cents and even less in china that is why we are paying such a high price because the USA rely's on import goods and import oil.

While politicians line there wallet from contributions from big buisness ALL americans will pay the price for a long long time.

Greed and Corruption is the cancer that is hurting ALL americans.

By the way our US Marines are having there annual regional ball at a resort in JH owned by Saudi Arabia. Many of the largest skyscrapers in the USA are owned by either China or Saudi Arabia. The goods we buy everyday from local stores are produced in China.....So who really owns America ?
