6yr old kid killed at monster jam

Its sad for sure. There are risks everywhere. I would bet the odds of gettin killed while driving to the event were significantly greater than getting killed while being there. Unfortunately im just waiting for the next headline to read "Family Sues over Boys Death". You know thats coming. Even though you know the risks and if its anything like hockey, I believe that by buying a ticket you release them from liability. That wont stop the lawsuit though. I got hit in the st omach one time by the puck at the local college hockey game. That hurt and left a nice bruise. Would have probably knocked me out if it had hit my head. THose things go whizzing around pretty fast if youve ever been to one. The point is its a freak accident. Very sad though.

the family has every right to sue. thats why they carry insurance. if i was the driver or monster jam i would expect my insurance company to settle with the family

An unbelievable tragedy... stuff happens. But the world is over reacting like usual. I can not imagine for one second the emptiness that a father would feel, but that should not stop folks from enjoying life.

Suing?? I'm not sure. No doubt insurance will/should kick in, but looks like an accident to me. I think we (as a population) tend to want to find negligence in every accident, so we can point fingers. Pointing fingers doesn't create right out of wrong. But it does make lawyers wealthy...and we pay for it. That's my two bits...

This my freinds, is a large part of what is wrong with this society today. Kida like the McDonalds coffee being too hot! Life AND death happens. Prayers to the family. It is very sad and trajic.

stuff like this happens and should not stop people from doing stuff. we ride our sleds and the odds of us getting killed on our sleds is alot more then getting killed there. I guess I am just dissappointed in the event for not having someone come out and say that they actually care. not just say on the phone to the news that they have never had anything happen and they are going to look into getting more safety inspections on the trucks. show some compation and let the people know that you care about a kid losing his life. as a father I think about whether I should take my 4 yr old out and let him ride his 120 but I am leary just because I worry about some drunk coming around a corner and hitting him. but as a father I am suppose to think about stuff and keep my kids safe and keep them entertained. I do want to take them to a monster truck show because they would absolutely love it.
