I"m looking for a fool proof way to set the choke plunger depth. I think I have them too deep. Seems like the sled is getting hardly any fuel even on full choke. Is there a spec that states how far out the plunger sticks out of the threaded end of the cable? Just seems like it isn't opening enough. I know when I put them on the carbs it seemed like I threaded them on quite a ways while under pressure from the spring behind the plunger.

I adjust them so that the plunger is touching the bottom of the hole right as the first threads engage. Then when you screw them in they have some pressure on them to keep them sealed. Then pulling the choke lever fully on doesn't break the plastic piece in the choke lever housing but they still pull full on.

I measured the plunger hole depth and I was quite a ways off. I adjusted to allow about 1/8" more plunger sticking out compared to the depth I measured. I just couldn't "feel" the plunger bottoming out while adjusting it. I think it should seal fine with the extra length on the plunger before screwing it in. No chance to test it yet though.
