I understand there is a difference between the H.O. and the standard 670, I believe mines just the standard. How do I change mine over to the H.O. or should I just keep it standard?
Pistons, combstion chamber, tunnel porting and dpm. I have a spare non ho 670 sitting on my bench if interested. $800 complete with polaris primary clutch. This engine has short intake and porting and fresh rebuilt from crank up.
you might want to get ahold of the owner from fast trax in puyallup wa. he bought out union bay racing and they were very big into the 670 they had full billet race motors!!!
I have a buddy thats giving me his 97 670x , I'm going to give it a little loving , just because it will be fun to do, the only bad thing with twin pipes they r loud!!
Not all parts are the same between the two, can't just go mixing and matching anything and everything. Again the 670X or H.O. was a 98 release in the summit and a 99 release in the shortie.
Good luck with that... As stated earlier 98 was the first year for the x. 99 was the last. Head, pistons were different. The rotary valve part number you gave was also wrong. Its a 501.
