660 RMK reviews

KMO, We have a 07 rmk 685 carl's kit in our group. He has had all the work done to it and it does run great, but the carb style turbo kits that highmark make are great for tree riding due to the duel use of fuel delivery system. at low rev's the normal fuel pump supplies the fuel and at 1/2 or more throttle the electric bypass system works to help with fuel needs, no lag at all.
A turbo all depends on the guy setting it up. you see a lot of guys on here wanting heavy weights for their turbo set-up when in real life, smaller is sometimes better when everything is working together. i run about 57-58 weights in mine thats it. and it rips
I do like the 685 kits (almost bought one)but once i priced them all worked up VS. a turbo kit there was not a lot of price difference. Thats why i went with the big purchase the first time, NO wishing later that i had more power.

It appears I need to ride that turbo of yours......dammit. Dollars signs once again.

KMO , Are you waiting for the 2011-2012?? pro 600 in the new chassis to come out, or you looking at buying a 2011 pro 600 in the same iq set-up that you already have?? that or do you know something the rest of us don't about a pro 600 being made????

The 2011 pro 800 is a hell of a sled, just underpowered a little. i am wait for the 600 pro myself

We are going to finish this riding season out on our current sleds, and buy new 2012's for the next season. We did ride a 2011 Pro-RMK all day that had a 600 Rush motor in it....performed very well. Neck and neck climbing with my 685. Probably will buy a 600 Pro-RMK for my wife and an 800 for myself.

I like the 600 motor myself for a sled cause it is proven unlike the new 800's are. I hope they use the same 600 motor in the new pro's if they make a pro 600 version. that way i can just swap out the turbo onto one.
I have to give it to highmark for making a well built turbo carb style for the polaris sleds. great motor with a responsive turbo makes for a great combination.
I also rode a new 800 pro a short time ago and it is a different ride for sure.

I had a '07 RMK with a Carls Cycle 660 kit. Probably one of the best engine mods I've done to a sled for reliability and pull-n-go characteristics. It rev'ed fast and was a hoot to ride all day, every day. I took F-bomb's advice before I went with the kit and did exactly as he suggested, it worked great.

Now I'm on a TD8 but still have a bit of seller's remorse on the 660.

We bought the 660 from Jonce. Best all-round sled we have ever had. Installed a Holtzman ATACC for the jetting and a CE track. Over 4000 miles and it still rips. This thing is pulling the same clutching as my Pro on the flat lands. Taking it to Cooke this weekend, so we will see how it compares in the hills.

That video is mine of my 660 that i purchased from Jonce, that sled has impressed alot of people. The 660 kit is pretty much bomb proof, its hard to go wrong.
