600 RMK differences

Hey guys, I'm looking into getting the wife a 600 rmk 144. I was going to go with a 2011, but I found a 2009 with 260 miles on it. My question is, has anyone had any problems with their 2009s. I did read there was a flash for them in 2009. Other than that the only difference I think is the secondary clutch and seat being slicker than the 2011 which is stickier!

The 2009 would be a better value if it is well taken care of.

Really not much of a difference other than the 2011 has a series 5.1 2.4" lug track... the 2009 has a series 4 2.0" lug track... There are many that really like the P2 clutch and I'd bet that Carls would have you covered on that.

The 2010 & 2011 is a CFi-4
The 2009 is a CFi-2

The money saved could go into some nice upgrades like Better Boards (I'd consider this as a mandatory), and handlebars/risers that fit exactly.

I do not know of any reliability issues with the 2009's

No issues so far with my 09 600 rmk, maybe 500 miles on it.

You'll likely spend all winter looking for more than a handful of bad reviews on a 600 period. Take that time instead to buy the better deal and ride the sled. There are not enough differences in the 2009 and 2011 to affect the resale value that much so take advantage of it now at purchase time.

I have the 08 600 and in my opinion that is the best motor Polaris has ever built.
