600/800 E-Tec Turbo Oiling

Are guys premixing the fuel some on the E-Tec?
Reason for asking is that with such low oil consumption due to DI not washing the oil away from the crank is there a need to pre-mix since the auxilliary injectors are now spraying into the intake and presumeably washing oil
off the crank and cylinder walls.
 
The injectors that are added will probably only be fueling when the sled is under boost. In this case the fuel is going to fairly atomized so there won't be just RAW fuel being spray into the case. The atomized fuel may wash some oil out of the case but the oil system should refill the case. If you are that worried about it you can always add some oil into the gas tank. I know of some people that add 2-4 ounces to there 800 HO. Not sure if you will be able to premix the E-Tec due to the oil solenoid.
 
My worry is that with the E-Tec using soooooooooooo much less oil that it will not be addequate for a turbo sled unles you pre-mix or somehow turn up the oil. The e-tec should normally have no fuel in the crankcase to wash away oil, but with the addition of a turbo and its supporting injectors in the intake you will now be washing the crank with fuel. So somehow you have to get extra oil into the engine.
 
Would be sweet if a guy could have 4 injectors in the head but thats a ways off for now, just do not want to convince people to turbo sleds and have them go down because of under oiling.

yep that is why turbo performance is not promoting our etec yet. not enough time on it.
do we have one? yes
is it turboed? yes
does it run? yes
does it have over 1000 miles on boost? yes
can it be realeased yet? nope because there is to many unknowns!!!!!


we are working on a signal sender so that we can run 4 injectors in the head. and also alot of other prototype stuff.

you can come see the little sled at the boise snow show if you want.
 
And when the inevitable happens, the cost to replace the entire head and injectors will ruin the turbo builders reputation for a long time.

Nice to see Bryce and Josh are being upfront about the reality of the turbo e tech,, the others will get it soon as the Ready for sale units get some exposure to the consumer and the real world

We all know it takes only ONE to spread the word like a bad rash.

retail on the head with injectors will wake you the F up for sure.
