509 Goggle Problems!

509's + HJC CLX5N + HJC breathbox = no fogging for me

Last year the same set up but no breathbox in the helmet and they would fog up when I stopped. Another bonus is that the fit with the HJC and the 509's is great, little if any skin exposed and can get away with a thin balclava or no balclava on normal days.

same set up but with clx4, no baclava, just a silk scarf,

works great, no fog spray on my glasses before i leave the pickup

The measure of a company is how far they go to make an unsatisfied customer happy. We strive to go the extra mile no matter the circumstances.

No thats all find a dandy......but i would much rather toss inferior product in the trash vs wasting my time over some goggles

i got em all, was a huge oakley fan in my early years.....but the foam flows too much air at high speeds and drys my eyes out, scotts seems to be the bullet proof goggle that works correctly, but they dont last long......got a could pair of dragons that are beat to chit and still work great, but they are a bit small and let in air in-between the goggle and my klim helmet

all that said, nothing is worse then fog goggles.....cant see sucks

People who sweat heavily can have a difficult time no doubt. We will be releasing some very cool innovative products over the next two seasons that will address and solve this entirely. So keep the feedback coming because it does help shape our future products

Products like the mag straps that you have been teasing us with? It's really irritating to hear about stuff and not being able to get it.

well i bought habervision goggles with the eliminator...and i just ordered the aviators from 509..and i may install the eliminator in the aviators...the aviators are just to great a looking goggle to not try...and i do like the fact that 509 does monitor the forums good or bad and does respond as much as possible given he obviously does have to earn a living as well...it shows commitment to his product..so im giving it a shot

The problem I had on a recent trip was fine snow going right through the vent foam, in between the two lenses and in back of both lenses. The most problematic was between the lenses at the top center and then the condensed moisture works its way down. Next time out will try putting some tape over the top center vents on the lenses. The inside could just stop and wipe it out. The moisture between the lenses was an issue mostly with off trail riding with very little airflow while it was snowing. In back of lenses happened more on trail getting to close to somebody or smoking by them.

Polarize seemed to work better for definition (I have brown). But for those of you with a LED gauge or GPS I completely forgot about this until I got to the mtns, you can barely see LED screens with polarize lenses or sunglasses. Had to use my old scott yellow for the first couple days in the mtns tuning my engine and clutches otherwise couldn't see a thing on the gauges.

Good

PS The carbon fiber Sinister with my new HJC carbon fiber helmet is killer!!!!
Like the hinged strap attachment and the nose beak is a perfect fit with my HJC AC-X3 Carbon Fiber Helmet.

I've thoguht about making the switch a few times but.. The new oakley splices, and the new polarized lenses they offered this year are hands down the best goggle lenses I've ever owned.

I picked up a set of these for "bright days"

and these for the majority of stuff we ride in storm days, flat light, ect ect..

The high intensity amber polarized are hands down the most versatile lens I've ever owned. It's almost like they change tint depending on the light.. when the sun comes out they turn darker blue (see photo http://www.pbase.com/brahm/image/120267141.jpg) and on when it's overcast they are almost clear.

I very rarely have any fogging issues with Oakleys I've had great luck with Aframes, Crowbars, and now the splices which are like the crowbar but with a larger FOV

I have the BRP Carbon fiber helmet and I agree- combined with the carbon fiber-look Sinister frames, it's a pretty sex set-up. :)

Well I had no luck getting them to stop fogging. I agree they can't make something that works perfect for everyone. But the good news is that Tom has offered for me to send it all back and get my money back. And I think that makes a good company. Customer service and happy customers in the end!
