509 Fidlock feature good?

I was browsing 509 and saw a feature called fidlock. I am not up to date on helmets but a little research and I learned it is a quick release helmet strap buckle which is magnetic.

Is this feature as good as it sounds?

I bought a new 509 just to have the fidlock. For the guy that has enough discipline to always do up the strap on his helmet it's no big deal. The fidlock in easy to latch and unlatch so because of that I always have the strap done where before I usually didn't.

Yes it is. I really like mine, on and off with gloves on. My son even has his fastened all the time without me yelling at him.

I bought the carbon fiber helmet last year with the fidlock. Greatest thing ever. However it did freeze on me once but with some force I was able to pull it apart.

works super nice. Makes it so much easier to take your helmet on/off and still be responsible about latching it. My favorite feature on my 509 helmet.

It's a great feature, makes me wish their helmets fit me because the competitors are lacking in buckle design.

New Klim F5 has it to, fit is awesome and the new F5 is as light or maybe lighter that 509! I would definitely check it out, also has most ventilation available. https://youtu.be/UD9iRUN9pH0
