I have a fan from Habervision and a 509 fan and I took some pics to show why the habervision fan doesn't work with the 509 goggles. I've heard and read discussion about just turning the bar upside down on the habervision fan and it will work just fine on the 509's. Here are the pics, you be the judge.....
Side by Side comparison - notice notch in 509 fan support bar on top
Sinisters with 509 fan installed
Sinisters with Habervision fan - can't install with support bar upside down as claimed - blue plastic bar pops out of the two nuts because the plastic on the bar isn't designed to accommodate the shape of the brass nuts.
If you're going to get the 509 goggles, get the 509 fan (habervision still makes them but has made them compatible with the 509 goggles)
Plus, Tom Delanoy is a helluva guy to do business with
