Ordered my helmut and goggles a week and a half ago...sounds like an awesome setup...can't wait for it to show up so I can try it out. Wife called me on the phone an hour ago.....2 to 4 foot snow drifts in our driveway and still snowing......and I am stuck in Vegas for the week:eek::beer;:beer;

Just curious, are you wearing this around the house? The system works very well when in motion. Even at a couple MPH, the slight air flow allows the ventilation system in both the helmet and goggles to exhaust out your hot breath.

I just ordered up a nofog mask and every universal breath box on the market. I'll report back soon which are compatible.

Tom,
I was just wearing it around the house and breathing normally. I think its outstanding that you are doing some product testing for us. Top notch!!!!

I was seriously considering the No-Fog but thought I would try the HJC universal deflector for $10 first. I will have it in a couple days and let you know. Other than that sweet looking set up! I am very happy with my 509 order!

They are hard to come by these days, for the actual no-fog anyways... I think I got mine from Bob's Cycle if I reember correctly....

OK I figured I would post how my goggles and helmet have been working out.

FANTASTIC!!!! Great product!

I did have a fogging issue when I wasn't moving but it was 100% solved by adding the HJC breath deflector for their MX helmets.

Now with the XXL 509 helmet, Sinister Goggles, and the HJC breath deflector there are absolutely 0 gaps.

I can do 100+ mph in single digit temps and not get cold at all.

I couldn't be happier!

Thanks Tom!

Agreed. I also used the HJC breith deflector and it worked great on a very cold day. BTW. You will need to buy and use a little extra velcro to connect it to your helmet.

I have used my new 509 helmet and goggles for a few days in very cold weather. The seal with the goggles and helmet is great, but every time I stopped moving the goggles would fog up. I ended up taking the helmet off when stopped but this got to be a pain in the butt as the chin strap release does not work very well. That is my only complaint, and some quick straps will solve the fogging issue when stopped. I hope 509 starts selling the magnetic straps in their catalog soon.

I only put 10 miles on my 509 google/helmet setup so far,it was 10F out and I didnt have any fogging issues while wearing a klim blaclava. I am happy with it so far!

GREAT! I'll have to get one, every time I slow down my goggles fog on the outside! I got the orange lens and it works great in flat light. Love the helmet with the exception of the lace chin strap. Is there a quick connect available???

I have been using the HJC breath box as well. Helmet and goggle setup worked well and would fog up but would also clear right up when moving. With the breath box there has been no issues.

Lets see some pics with the HJC breath box installed. Did anyone try using the one without the "wings" on it?

You need the wings for it to be effective. Here are the only pics I have on my laptop. Works awesome with the HJC deflector!

got the same fogging issues when stopped. as said before if i breathe through my nose its ok... but mouth breathing.... forget it! No problem with my old "one" brand helmet... maybe the chin guard is too close to my mouth with the 509 and my breathe cannot escape? how comfortable are those breathe deflectors?

i got one of these and took off the plastic nose clip. its thinner than the hjc and you can still run your goggle nose mask. i would have got the foggy x but they didnt have one at the store
