Has anyone found a breath box that works with the Evolution helmet? I have the Sinister goggles and with the nose piece on the fog pretty bad when I breathing normal. I am going to need to figure out something.

Thanks!

Agreed and wondering the same. I sent Tom an email but have not heard back yet....figure he is probably traveling to shows or catching up from shows.

Will let you now what I hear.

First of all, I'm excited to use my new 509 helmet. It looks sweet.

This is the first snowmobiling helmet that I have had that has as much face protection as it does. I wear a balaclava (sp?) anyway, so I'm thinking that this helmet won't need a breath box. I also got the 509 googles and they have additional wind protection on the nose piece. Hopefully all of this together will be a sweet setup!

I don't fog when I breath through my nose. But I do when I breath through my mouth. Strange thing is that if I run my nose shield on over top of the rubber deflector on the helmet then I don't fog at all.

It appears the Evolution is the same as the AFX FX-17. I have tried to find an AFX mask but no luck.

Let me know what you find out.

Thanks!

Hopefully we won't need a breath box with this helmet/ goggle set up. I did take mine out of my scorpion helmet and it will fit into my 509 helmet and work if need be. Just wearing it around the house this helmet is pretty comfy. looking forward to getting to use it.:)

I wore mine riding yesterday. Evolution helmet, sinister goggles and a klim balaclava. First five minutes my face was frozen then it got numb. Think I'm gonna try the old No-fog next time.

UM What? hope this is not going to be a march only helmet!!!!was hoping it was going to deflect the wind..:(

I'm wondering the same thing about breath box??This helmet looks alot like the Tobe one, did the Tobe come with breath box?was it a good helmet?:beer;

from what Ive read, these helmets were designed to NOT have to use a breath box etc..
I just picked up some new Sinister's, hoping they will be the cure
if not, I have a sweet "MODDED" HJC breath deflector i cut to fit my lid
worked great w my Dragon DX goggles, hoping the same for my 509's

Toms Lids are Top Quality! Any Moto-X style helmet is going to let wind on skin happen. With the Evolution Helment, Sinister Goggle and any style pull over face protecter (robber mask style) is your best bet. The Evolution Proto Types were out in force all last season and they worked Great! This is the only set up I can run with out fogg'in up the Goggs. I've been racing moto X for the last 25 years and sleds for the last 10 so I've always worn this style of helment. For the Price and Customer support the Choice is simple!
509 Evoulution/Sinister Goggle

Thanks, John Orr

Just curious, are you wearing this around the house? The system works very well when in motion. Even at a couple MPH, the slight air flow allows the ventilation system in both the helmet and goggles to exhaust out your hot breath.

Yes, just got back from the SLC show. Shows are pretty much over, so we're getting caught up on everything as I type this.

That's interesting. What temp was it? I wore this helmet all last year with a thin balaclava and no issues.

I just ordered up a nofog mask and every universal breath box on the market. I'll report back soon which are compatible.

It was about 13 degrees out. Maybe I was just being a PU$$!!

Buddy of mine used to wear a no fog mask, goggles and a hat, no helmet and he never used to get cold, and there were times we were out when it was -35C. No fog mask fits under the helmet and deflects your breath downward same as a breath box so that has to work.

During testing last season, there was zero wind hitting my forehead, cheeks or nose with this Evolution/Sinister setup. Yes, air does still flow through the mouthpiece area, which in my experience was generally a great source of cool air to keep my head at a comfortable temp. On the colder days I wore a $5 thin balaclava which kept my chin warm.

But there are numerous universal breath boxes out there. I'll report back very soon on which fit this setup best.

I was wearing mine around the house, fit is awesome but the goggles were fogging up.
Thought maybe with some air flow through it it won't fog.
Probably won't see rideable snow here for another couple of months so you guys figure it out and post results.
This is my first moto type helmet on the snow. Bought it for better visibility and to lose the heated face shield cord. Hope it works out well. If not someone will get a smokin deal on a helmet and goggles.
Keep up the testing.:face-icon-small-hap
