I guess I'm a hippi ... I don't know ... but I've quite honestly never understood what the purpose of "hunting" coyotes, mountain lions, prarie dogs, etc is .... Mountain lions are about 1000x more scared of you than you are of them. You could probably throw a couple rocks at that entire litter of them and they'd be high-tailing it away from you as fas as they could be.

Hell I've ran into a few of them walking my dog even and they don't even stick around to attack the dog.....

You wouldn't happen to be related to Timothy Treadwell? :face-icon-small-hap

Treadwell was STUPID! Nice scenery in his death dvd..........but seriously, how dumb. He complains about people, while he's out there touching/feeding/interacting with these critters.

Guess you never hunted Montana then because just this year there was 3 of them killed by hunters that were reported to FWP cause the cats were stocking the hunters and the hunters even tried scaring them away but failed.

Not just any critter. I think it's kinda funny how it all turned out. Him and his gf mauled to death and then turned into lunch... who woulda thunk it?

I'm more afraid of the mountain lions while I'm in the woods, than I am of Grizzlies. The mountain lions stalk ya, and come out of nowhere to attack. They are sneaky as heck.

As for Treadwell.......like stated in the DVD, he caused more harm than good. He spent time in protected Griz habitat, habituating them (and other animals) to humans, which is turn only causes their demise.

yah, that was the weird thing about that whole story. Protecting the grizzlies by making them comfortable around humans... comfortable enough to eat them.

you ever see what a 5lbs. farm cat can do to your arm in about 3 seconds, when you think it would be funny to try and take a piece of dear meat away from them. i would not want to meet a mountain lion in the woods.

the 5 lions were near Meeteetse,Wy--this single was near Casper mountain from the info i got:face-icon-small-sho

That's the thing about the net. The info I got was that they were south of Sheridan near the Powder Horn golf course. That/s the other side of the mountain.

Dang, those pictures are scary, with the cat looking at the person taking the camera. I don't think it would be much for the cat to break down the sliding glass door.
