TREE MAGNET

I have an 08 155 & 09 163 dragon 800. Both the tracks have ripped in half in the last three weeks. First was the 09 163 with 615 miles on hard pack trail at about 25 mph. Next was last weekend on the 08 155 with 1255 miles in the bottom of a hole under a hard poll in 2.5' of powder. Any one else having this problem or is polaris right when they say it isn't warranty because of my riding style. The other five polaris's that I have dont have broken track's on them. I think maybe its time for a cat & that hurts to say

There is one 09 D8 around here who had the same thing happen, and also an 08 700 rmk. The 700 stabbed his, not sure about the D8.

Happened to me last year on my 05 900 RMK with a 159" track and this year with my IQR 800 with a 121" camoplast. IT seems to happen if you ride hard all the time and spend a lot of riding in tree's.

poo..............................turn the p upside down and backwards and you will be happy.....................doo, LOL

i know how you ride,i dont see how that could be the problem, we all would have torn tracks since we usually are in the same places every ride, i think poo should give you a couple tracks.

tracks are like TP , there should be a 2 ply mimimum:)

I have an 08D7 155 and must say I am amazed at what I've thrown at it in terms of spinning on submerged trees and rocks but it still looks great! On the other hand, I have a 136" x 1.75 Backcountry that lost a couple full lugs during the first ride. At 75 miles, it looked beat to crap, with lugs sheared off right to the main reinforcement. Personally I believe there are some bad vulcanizations that should be covered but as long as we beat them the way we do, the manufacturer has a convenient out. Don't want to count the times I've heard the "I've seen you ride!" line.

Tracks are made by Camoplast, not Poo. Single ply first came on Doo's so blame them too. LOL, know of a 120" Doo who's track came apart too, go figure. And yes, hardpack shortens tracks lives. Heck, have almost 6k miles on my '08 track, one broken rod due to a blown center shock, still using it.
You want lightweight, expect a shorter lifespan due to it.

ok im confused as why your askin ? 163" on hard pack how many sets of scratchers did you go through?1255 miles how much more do you want for a light track?

My 163 is a boosted D8 i know that is going to be a little harder on it but 615 miles. I have not been able to ride anywhere that is all fluff it takes a little hard pack to get to the mountain. 1255 miles? You really think that 1255 miles is enough out of a track? your ok spending 650.00 every 1255 miles. I have over 3,000 on my 05 900 166 & still the same track. I don't care how light the track is make them so they hold up!! sell them with an opption i'll lose 10 pounds myself

$650.00 was what the camo extreme cost that I replaced mine with when it tore....dealer wanted $960.00 for the stock replacement...

I ripped my Camo/Doo Challenger Lite in half, and i only knew about two other tracks being ripped in half before reading this, and they were all challenger/trencher lites.

Mabey the hard paddle config. and the single ply play a large role.

A stump stabbed my track and got hooked in the skid, and then tore the track, doing downhill. send me over, and the sled over end also.
