SW got nothing to do with why I came over here, I happen to know one of the guys who's sled is stuck down the hill.

funny, last time I was here "BCR" was filtered, you couldn't type in the URL or backcountryrebels or a whole slew of other ways to reference that site.

I'm not butthurt over past events, but when I come to SW after a two year hiatus it really feels like a core group of guys standing around in a big circle jerking one another off, I don't see a lot of room or welcome for new comers - and old guys that log on get hammered with "pay for a membership!" comments. As if the viewing restrictions on the site doesn't say it loud enough. No need for a membership pitch, best off say nothing and lure in new people with honey, not a sledge hammer.

I was a BCR member when they first got off the ground but haven't posted there for a year or better. They had a virus attack or something and my IT department fire-walled the site. So no more BCR for me either.

I was considering joining SW so I would have something to screw around with while not working
