4130 Apex-pro by Powerhouse Customs

I had the awesome opportunity to ride with Ron and Laird at Turtle in Revelstoke last spring, and got to see this chassis in action. Impressive is an understatement, and Laird definitely knows how to ride. Ron's tube frame Honda is one of the coolest things I've seen on the mountain as well. Really hoping I will get to hook up with these guys again this year when I'm back out there!

Right on!!

Right on guys!! Thanks for the kudos on our tube chassis sleds!!

As for a single ski blasting out the top of the chutes, we are just getting started with the Snow Bikes. However, the original designs that I drew up for the Honda Project did incorporate a single ski. (I even had a drawing with "Springer" style forks) ..I only went traditional with two skis after being convinced by many, that some of my internal cogs must have slipped drastically, even Laird was suspect of my sanity for a bit!! Haha

We are excited about the Snow bikes and the potential direction that we will be taking with the single ski chassis development. At this moment though, we are stoked to be riding a Mountain Horse kit this year and getting involved with this style of riding.

Cheers

Chassis pics

I can't seem to get the pictures to load today, but you can check out some pics of our latest build project on our website or on our FB page. Just got the Polaris Pro plastics mounted the other day. This sled will be powered by a modded/turbo'd Impulse Nytro engine. Track will be the Camo extreme 174x16x3 wrapped around one of Daryl/Lance's newest Racer's Edge rear suspension. Raptor shocks on all four locations. Z Bros. ARS A-arms with Z bros Billet spindles. Hopefully this one will be off to the powder coat shop next week.

I will try and post the pics here again later.

Cheers

Taking some shape

Haven't had much time for working on this project of late, but we did manage to get some work done on Friday. It is starting to take some shape now.

Chassis pictures

Rather busy in the shop these days, it is getting difficult finding time for this sled assembly. Taking shape slowly.

Some updated pictures of Triple Blacks new Powerhouse Customs Chassis. Just slid a complete Racer's Edge Rear Suspension into a new Camo Extreme 174x16x3. Set the Nytro Hood on it for a glimpse of how it is going to look in Yamaha attire.

Next up is the Apex engine, but first I have to freshen it up and install some components, set the cams and valves, ..hopefully that will be tomorrow's project. Laird loves his Boosted Apex engines, but then who doesn't!!

Front end

is that a timbersled front end?

Hi, yes it is the new Timbersled front A-arm and billet spindle combo. Quality products/components for sure, excellent fit and finish.

In conversation with Allan @ Timbersled, I mentioned how we would like to ease our steering effort further yet. He suggested trying his Arms and spindle as he offsets the ski bolt hole back within the spindle to reduce the castor and required steering effort. We are looking forward to trying them!

Some more eye candy

We just got this chassis back from the powder coat shop the other day. Getting started on the assembly. Dwayne did a sweet job of the powder, a Super chrome base coat with a Psycho Lime top coat, ..looks wicked against the black. This is going to be one Bad *** Boosted Nyt-Pro!!

they still running the standard a-arm or have the moved them forward like skins & zbros.sleds are looking good.:face-icon-small-coo

Big Fish

Too be honest I haven't checked to see what they are doing with their Nytro A-arms. We use Polaris geometry A-arms on our chassis, which coincidentally does place the spindles further forward.

ah thats right i forgot you used the poo arms thxs.

Nearly ready

Welll this one is nearly ready to be handed over to the customer, all that is left to do is install the Racer's Edge 174" rear suspension unit. The owner will Finish it from this point. He has a Modded/Boosted Impulse Nytro engine for it. Should be very SWEET.

coming together

Finally getting around to start putting this sled together. Apex engine bolted in and trial fitting other components prior to final assembly. Can't wait to get this sled out in the steep and deep!

Cheers
