For all of you with a 401k retirement plan read this, its the great jacka$$'s at work, I got a good job right out of high school and have been putting money to it, I didn't go waste time and be worthless. I did not plan on the government to help me retire, was not planning on getting any social secruity. For the worthless, lazy, cry baby's, grow up. I am not working to support you and your family, but me and mine. Get a job, it's life, yes it can be a ***** but deal with it. They've already completley stolen social security from us ... like you, I've never once expected to receive a dime of that money when I retired. It was just another tax. up here i was told to start putting money into rrsp's etc... for when i retire. i will retire with a really good pension but classmates of mine this year that were working for 7 years and putting into these retirement things are going nuts as most have lost 10 grand.

if that article is true then i feel sorry for the thousands that are getting the royal plunger up the butt with no lube.

My neighbor & I were discussing this a couple of weeks ago. He is a VP for a bank. We doth decided that the best resolution to this will be to cash out the IRA or 401K, take the tax, & early with drawl hit, and you will still be ahead of what your return will be from the new proposed plan. The big hook will be to say that they will return your funds to pre-Aug values, in return for you being in the program. The government needs money, they are going to use this and try to pass it off as solid returns instead of the up & down of the stock market. Then the money will be used for all the programs the Dems want spend money on. We will be right were we are with the SS fund.

I would rather risk the market then 3% on all that I "contribute".

If you haven't heard a new president was elected last week, and he goes against everything capitalism is about. Comrade obama is a socialist, and there are a lot of dumb f*cks in this country that voted for him because we need "CHANGE". I should have stated in my post above that as Duffman stated this is just talk and discussion for now. However, it has been on all the talk radio programs and also on Fox news. No one else has picked up on this as of yet. The government needs cash, this would be a huge infusion is a short period. The reality is, is that if this did happen, think about what it would do to each and every business that has stocks for sale in the market. This would be a serious hit to all business's that issue stocks.

This idea has been talked about by the Demo Congress over the past couple of months.
