4 weight spider removal

Does anyone know how to remove the spider on a 4-weight clutch without a specialty tool? I tried to order the spider removal tool from SLP but they are currently sold out. What other company sells a tool like this? Does anyone have a spider tool for sale? Thanks.

I built one with some 3/8" plate and some 1/4" key stock. So if push comes to shove you can get one built.

Not what you wanted but if you can't find one.

I wouldn't attempt to remove the spider on the 4-arm Cat clutches unless you absolutely have to. They tend to crack and fall apart when doing so. Even if you dont attemp to disassemble, they end up cracking apart around 1200-2000 miles. Best thing to do is just convert over to the 3-arm clutch instead.

I have the stock Arctic Cat tools if you need one PM me and I can help you out. As stated above they usually break or crack coming apart. I am sure you are putting a billet spider back in if you are replacing. If not let me know and I can help you out on that.

I won't switch over to the 3 arm clutch unless I am forced to. The four arm clutch is much smoother and I like the way it feels compaired to the 3 arm. Just to bad they can't keep the stock ones together. With a billet spider they hold up fine.

I was going to install an SLP Shim kit and wasn't planning on replacing. I suppose I should since the clutch has around 1600 miles on it. PM me pricing info on tool and billet spider. Does the billet spider perform the same as stock (rpm)? Thanks.

I was planning to switch to a 3 post fearing the spider would crack this year. Now I'm thinking about installing the billet spider instead. I also like the smoother 4 post.
Just curious, what are you using for clutch weights and springs on the 4 post?

Thanks
