4' This weekend in ML,CA!!

Since I drive over 300 miles to get there I park the trailer at the RV park since no overnight parking is allowed in Mammoth on public roads so they can plow.

Overnight trailer parking is around $25.00. You could easily unload from the overnight parking but they urge not to ride out the RV parking lot.
You can pull your trailer 200 yards to the North West end of the RV Park. Leave it there unload and take the underground tunnel to the staging area and access the entire trail system.

If you want full RV hook up it is $40 a night. They have many showers and a hot tub at the RV park.

The cheapest way I have found to do Mammoth is find a place to stay for free .... good luck

get a dozen guys to split a 12 bed condo costing about $360 a night,

stay in Lee Vining for $70 a night and unload near June lake 1/2 hour away and Levitt lake an hour away.

use a RV at RV park for $40 a night full hookup and services and ride sled from own RV.

Park your vehicle at the RV park for $25 a day at end of day go to McDonalds and take the bus for $3.00 to Bishop and stay there for $40 a night. The Bishop deal takes abot 2.5 hours of your day.

Brahm,

Thanks for keeping us southern folk updated on conditions.

I've parked and camped several times over night on turn outs along the scenic loop. The plows even came along as well, never had an issue here. I'm don't know any rules but eh, I thought they plowed those turn outs along there for the sledders.

Don - are you getting antsy yet? It's tough to pull off these trips w/ the family but I'm sure your little ones will remember it when they're older. You're a good pa!
