My dealer says the belt does not exist and without full part # he cant look it up Stupid!!!!!!

BRP had their vendor make like 10,000 of these belts - they exist - .......with the 377 and a some clutch work i am finally LOVIN my XP!

I was in a dealer this weekend that would not sell me that belt because I don't have an XP. WTF are people with older revs suppose to use for belts? The new white 166 belts suck!!

Yes they do! I put a 166 belt on my 07 and after 19 miles its pulling cords!

The 166 cannot handle the heat when boondocking or riding in the deep..

Put on the FREE BRP replacement #417-300-377 belt. It is from the same manufacture of the 166 [Mitsushiba] but it is much more heat resistant 4mm shorter and 1mm wider than the 166. If you ride all day on trails you would not likely have the same issues as a guy who boondocks, due to the extra heat produced due to the way the sled was originally geared.

Changing the gearing down one is also advised and BRP WILL PAY FOR THIS MOD...call any dealer...they should already know this info. You will lose a bit of top end speed...but the machine will work awesome in the deep...and climb phenominal with the changes.

Why did BRP not do this in the first place... well everything is a compromise, depending on how and where you like to ride.

My dealer regeared my XP under warranty but wouldn't doo my 07. Is anyone getting there 07 done under warranty?

Wait a minute... FREE BRP replacement???? My dealer has charged me for two 166s, saying there is nothing he can do to help out, BRP won't do anything. He did tell me there was new one coming out, back ordered obviously, but I'd have to pay for it!!! Is my dealer screwing me or is BRP really stepping up to the plate?

Definately warrantied. If you bring back blown 166's. BRP isn't helping us if all you want is to swap a used 166 for a new 377. But if you've blown a 166, then yes, they are "free"

They doo exist...time to get a new dealer that doesn't have their head up their @ss. I traded a blown 166 straight across for the new 377. 120 miles on my 377 and it still looks like new. :D

when my dealer gets more in stock they will trade me my 166's for free or I will bring them back blown up, no prob!!!

"Put on the FREE BRP replacement #417-300-377 belt."

The dealer must be making this "free" offer. I was charged $30 to warranty a 166 for a 377. Is there a Doo bulletin on the "free" part?

The 377 belt is slightly more than the 166(not $30 more) but BRP has told us that any belts being swapped, claim for the 377 belt because it costs more, that way we will be credited back for the proper amount. No charge buddy. Tel lyour dealer to talk to his DSM.
