who out there is running a 36" front end on there Pro? been debating on switching mine over, only main concern i got is it being to tippy. whats your thoughts?
I know i sound like a cheerleader for the alt impact arms, but ive had both brands of 36'' and ill tell you dans arms are a far better system, so i have pom poms in hand. Ive so far managed to save a lower arm because of the design, by repllacing the rod end instead. When i had the zbroz i had nothing to compare to but after their breakage issue at the ball joint i went to the alt impact arms. I noticed they layed the sled over just as easily but after that point the sway bar took over to eleviate over working or sometimes even bottoming out the shock. The sway bar is not only important on the trail, imo it helps the shocks do their job. I dont even remember the price difference, but if the zbroz were $100 less i would still decline. Nate is a great guy and all but their customer service after the sale does not hold a candle to dans. Nice to see guys helping their spouces out to make it a joint venture, its exactly what lead me to a 36'' stance. after i rode hers i was on the phone at 8 monday mourning. just my thoughts since you asked. happy new yearPut a set of zbroz 36" a arms on my wife's 13 pro and finally was able to try it out. Instantly my wife loved it. Her words was that now she doesn't have to think about laying it over, it just does it as an extension of her body. No more favorite side to lay on edge. She can do downhill carves, sidehills, etc with staying neutral on the sled. I took it for a rip and instantly noticed how easy it was to get on edge. IMO if you are looking for a sled to be able to tip up on edge easy, but still have an edge this mod is for you. I am now gonna be selling my 39" front end and getting the 36". I liked it that much.
You need to revalve or change out your shocks and springs if you want to delete the sway bar, in order for it to work correctly. Using the sway bar to load the uphill hill ski is wrong. IMO. Anti roll bar (sway bar) do just that ,anti roll.By keeping the sway bar your only half way thereI know i sound like a cheerleader for the alt impact arms, but ive had both brands of 36'' and ill tell you dans arms are a far better system, so i have pom poms in hand. not making asumptions but sounds alot what nate tried telling me... Im not into spending more coin on his revalve slash buy new springs and or shock to make his kit work, been there done it.To each his own, ill stick with what i have. You need to revalve or change out your shocks and springs if you want to delete the sway bar, in order for it to work correctly. The stock shocks are sprung and valved for 36" front arms and 41"??? If you want the most from your suspension, it has to be valved and sprung for what length arm your using. Doesn't matter who made them....not making asumptions but sounds alot what nate tried telling me...
