On a 2012 the shocks need to be shortened. 16.6 is as long as you want to go, which is the length of a 2013 pro rmk shock.

You have two choices for arms zbros and Alternative Impact.

i am using the 36" alt imp arms on my wifes 2012 pro with the stock shocks. so far everything works great other than i had to make my own swaybar bracket to replace the stock plastic piece. the longer shocks were allowing the swaybar to over extend at full droop and break the plastic connecter between the bar and the arm. i built two brackets out of 5/16 rod ends that allowed me to keep the swaybar and the stock shocks. cost me 25 bucks to build both sides. time will tell if they work well or not.

Did you have to modify your spindles at all. Z-broz states that the spindles will have to be cut to allow for full steering rotation with their 36" kit. I would prefer not to cut mine.

I installed 36" Zbroz with Float2 shocks 2 years ago on a 2011 Assault Switchback. Never looked back! Friends that have ridden it think it's too narrow, but I'm used to it and love it. No trimming of spindles either.

i didnt trim my spindles. but it does look like they might be hitting just a little bit. might take a file to it just to clearance it some

I forget who's site I was one the other day but I seen that they were selling different rod eyes for Polaris shocks. Not sure if the are able to shorten them up enough by just doing that mod. stock length 13/14 shocks will work. I went with the impact 36s and like them so far I also did not have to fool around with the press in joint in the factor a arms as they come with new ones.

Just an FYI we offer both a 1" "short" eyelet and 1.5" eyelet for the walker shocks to help guys get the correct length for the 36" a arm kit. I won't debate which Arm is better of course I'm bias towards ours. I will say we were first to produce the 36" kit and find out the positives they offer on the Pro RMK.

For me it wasn't about which arms were better, its which one can use the sway bar. That is only Alternative Impact. I had the ZBroz arms last year and the arms themselves are great but not being able to run the sway bar makes the sled dive and roll too much that its was no fun to ride. No amount of shock tuning can get rid of that trait (I have Raptors). This year I went with Alternative Impact and the difference is night and day. I can set the shock preload back to a normal amount and the sled behaves like stock again. If ZBroz figured out how to incorporate the sway bar it would be a tough decision between the two. Right now, there is only one choice IMO. Also the customer service from Dan at Alternative Impact has been awesome!

I am surprised anyone would run a sway bar on a mountain sled but of course I'm so use to a triple rate (three springs) we have never had the need for one. (Plus Cats don't come with one lol) I also come from a racing background so I value the ability to hit an off camber bump on a slope and not upset the whole sled. We will definitely look at the sway bar attachment point again but it seems like it was super tight with our arm design?? Good feedback and its nice to know why people buy certain things. Happy tree riding to all the tree slicing 36rs out there!!

I agree 100 % . Sway bar on a trail sled, absolutely. Sway bar on a mountain sled, not for me. If your having trouble with this setup in the mountains your spring rates are wrong. I agree that on some sleds if you pull the bar and dont change spring rates they get very sloppy.

nate i started with your arms and quite frankly had issues in several areas. Im not trying to be a turkey, but the alt impact arms are in my eyes are a better all around design not only for the fact of being able to run the sway bar, but the heim on the lower is such that it seems to have the ability to at time absorb some of the shock and not transfer so much to the arm, thus costing you 20.00 and not a new arm. This i know first hand, and wished i would have taken dans advise an had him send a spare with my first kit. Thats just my experience though

I guess this post really confuses me. My Zbroz 36" came with and I run the swaybar? Is it because my sled is a switchback and it was assumed that I'm a trail rider and added brackets? If that's the case then it appears anyone can add the option of swaybar brackets? Just throwing this out there for anyone that is basing a swaybar link on which manufacturer gets their business. Like already mentioned, I love mine.

I found this picture real quick that shows my links. Hard to see but best one I could find on this pc.

I don't remember swaybar links on my old set of 36 z bros arms, it looks like a 39 in stance from that pic?

That might explain why you didn't have to trim your spindles.
