how can a person control the speed issue if the routing issue is in the giant telecom hands..??...i used to have a computor lan center and the best i could get and 1000 miles down the road i would get screwed by the routing they put me on..
We found something totally unexpected that might have been the source of the recent speed issues we have been seeing since Thursday. Hopefully that is now resolved.

Average page-view times, as reported by our external monitoring service, are now showing that overall speed is about 50% faster than it was last year at this same time.
I took the liberty of disabling the chat-box for you. Maybe your computer is bogged with adware / spyware and the javascript engine is slowing down as a result. If so, that should help things for you. Switching to a different browser may also improve your experience if that's the case.

My computer is monitored with some of the best adware whatever junk you think is slowing it down. NOT AN ISSUE for it.
CB was ok, maybe you haven't noticed the Chat option in the top of the control panel, which thanks to Sandy has been disabled already. I now can't talk to the 3 mods or so who actually use it.
Funny you have to have a special browser window and a streamlined software package to control content on your computer just to use this site, does the external monitoring systems you have in place measure that too? Does adware/spyware come with our paid membership so we can view it or is that a bonus cost?
