3211115 belt in a 2002 RMK

Hmm. I know the Poo 900's call for a 080 belt, but they seem to grenade on that motor, so alot of guys switch to the 115 belts as its seem to be stronger. I would imagine the belt to sheave clearance is different between the two, so if your buddy decides to run that 115 belt he should shim his spider for the correct belt to sheave clearance (sounds like 0.020" on a broken in belt is what you want).
I've only read these things, never tested them out myself. Just relaying some knowledge.

Yes he can, will be a big upgrade and no more grenading belts. Adjust the secondary as well.

I switched to the 115 on my 910 (based on an 02 motor in an 02 chassis) the first of last year. I would blow 3 belts a year or so on that sled with the 080 or after market Dayco belts. I rode the whole season on the 115 and its still looking decent. The price is hard to swallow until you see the life out of them.
