I am more interested in the new Camso 2.8 track as an add on to the Axys with a 2.6. Too new to know if it would be an improvement or not. Next season, it will be interesting to see how it works though. It, too, requires the 3" driver conversion. Bummer about that. I really liked my 2.6 as far as how it worked in the snow (all types). I didn't ride enough miles to find out about the durability problems that some have had. I think I put about 800 miles on mine last winter.
I had a 13 Pro with the X3 on it. My 2.6 Axys would run circles around that sled. Not even in the same league. Like comparing a 600 to an 800, there was that much difference. I also don't think that I would want any lower gearing than what was accomplished by going from 7 tooth drivers from 8 tooth drivers on the Pro. It knocked the top speed down by 10 mph at least. On the Axys that already is using 7 tooth drivers, it might warrant a desire to have lower gearing. I am not sure about that given that the Axys is making more power. My buddy geared his Axys chain drive 3" sled up because it was geared too low. He left it that way even after he put a 174" X3 on it. That is a lot more track with a lot more weight and he still wanted it geared up for track speed. It was not a stock motor but not turboed either. Pipe, head and porting was what he had done. I much prefer the Quick Drive to the chain so whatever track that I might change to is going to have to work with combination.
