3" track install help

Got a used X3 9207m with the 7 tooth avid drivers, and a TKI offset axle kit. Installed it all On my 14 belt drive pro, and found it rubs on about the last 4 inches of the coolers. Tried various tensions and everything I can think of to stop the rubbing but nothing works.

It almost looks like when running on the stand the track hangs up on the middle drive tooth and that forces it up and into the coolers. When I run it in reverse there is NO rubbing and plenty of clearance. There also seems to be an unusual amount of wear on the center windows of the track, again unsure if this is normal.

I tried to verify the drivers are the correct ones, but can't find a part number on them. They are 7 tooth and appear to be 3 inch pitch.

Pictures should show what I'm saying. Track tension was measured with no weight just free hanging.

Is this just how it goes, or did I do something wrong?

What's the outside diameter of the drivers, where it runs on the back side of the track? You may have 2.86 pitch drivers.

i think tuneman is right ,when the track climbs over the drivers it's making it rub the tunnel .

I have to pull it apart (for the third time) to measure. Results tonight, but I fear you are both right, only thing I can see that could go wrong really...

Wrong pitch drivers. I'd try ti get a discount on the correct ones from whoever you bought them from. I've had this happen to me an I was ticked

Well.... if I'm measuring correct it seems the mystery is solved. Anyone have a set of the right drivers? I'll need them overnighted, this sled needs to be out of here by Wednesday...

I am beyond upset at the seller, I'm sure he sold this track because it rubbed and he couldn't figure out why. At least the lugs aren't damaged so new drivers and I should be good to go.

Just so you know, the wear you seen on the center window of the track is normal with this set-up. Its not ideal, but thats the result if you dont want to run anti-stab wheel and the other style drivers.

Also, even with the correct drivers, the track is going to be very close to the coolers at the front of the tunnel. Eric

Is the measurement I posted good, or do I have to measure the diameter? Hard to do with the drivers still ion the shaft.

Its very easy to do.... Either use a fabric measuring tape, or just use a string and either mark it or cut it. just wrap it around the outside of the driver. If its 20" you have 2.86", if its 21" its 3.0 Eric
