3" Power Claw vs. 3" Camoplast X3

Sorry for posting my opinion on here guys. How do you know I haven't had time on a pc 3"? And How do I know if you guys have spent time on an x3? No reason to be peckers. I'm just sayin the X3 worked really well for me. You can't fix what's not broken. The only thing that I didn't like about it was the over heating issue on the trail and hard pack.

Look closely. Two finger paddle is missing.

Never even noticed the fingers on the opposite side of the paddles was just lookin at the ones integrated into the paddle, I will be comparing my viper while it's still bone stock with pc3 to a stock viper with the 2.6, riding same day and conditions

McClure and Kincaid have their 3"powerclaws stapled together at the snow show without any review of the track last season or this year from anyone, and yet you have time on one with tons of pow side by side with your x3? Yeah you can wonder why we would be skeptical by what you claim...

So let me get this strait. There's no one that has posted any reviews and you're telling this guy to spend MORE money on a track that HASN'T been proven? Interesting.

Skinner, burandt, Entz, Adams, and more guys are running the X3 every year for the past 3 years! They must all be idiots too.

Did i say ANYWHERE he needs to buy the 3" pc??? So you haven't ridden one, and tried to play it off like you did... sorry but I go for facts on this forum. Not what he said she said.

How does this thread have good potential when no one on this forum has any feedback or time on the 3" powerclaw? The 2.6 PC is a way better track over the 2.25 PC. So no point trying to compare a 3" PC to anything till people have some miles on one.

In response to many posts:

The X3 is 80 durometer.
I bought a 162" X3 for under $900 (new) so shop around and you can get a good deal. The price is what steered me toward the X3 instead of the 3" PC. Cat wants a fortune for it.

I don't think that the design of the PC is flawed, as far as downhill goes... because I had the 85 duro 2.6 PC and it didn't toboggan down hills, IMO. It could get a little squirrely, but wtf do you expect to happen when you're running a 500lb sled down a snowy, steep-a$$ hill? I dunno... It didn't bother me.

I love when I come across a post (there are a few out there) saying what a piece of garbage Camoplast tracks are... they de-laminate, throw lugs, etc... and the PowerClaw is so much better than Camoplast's tracks. Camoplast makes the PC.

I would overheat on hardpack with the 2.6 unless I put the scratchers down. I just got in the habit of putting them down on trail every time.

No way of telling which is going to perform better at this point, and if you base your decision off of what you read on forums, half will say its a POS, and half will love it.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one, as long as you use it for what it's meant to do, and don't go bang out 200 miles of trail with it.

X3

Here is my X3 measuring at 15" on the money
Also a pic of a paddle measuring less than 1/16th of an inch shy of a real 3 inches.

Will the PC 3" actually have paddles that are 3" tall? My 2.6 wasn't 2.6. The fingers were. The actual paddles were about 2.25.

Ya but.... measure the width of the paddles! the part actually doing the work!

hint... it aint gonna be 15" i can see that from here

The 3" pc I measure at a full 3" paddle in the middle. The outer finger I measure under 2.75".

Pics are of a 153. It weighs 54.5lbs. A single middle paddle in the whole track for the odd 153" length.

lmao... ok. Fair enough. I'm not smart enough to devise a way to determine the total volume of snow that can be pushed by each track based upon square inches of usable paddle.

Like I said above, I have zero doubt that you can go wrong with either track, and the PC 3" looks pretty bad ***.

did a couple doughnuts in the yard, viper with pc3 wasted the turbo pro with 5.1 track lmao. cabin fever is gettin bad
