One of these deck builders needs to fab up a deck that will haul 4 sleds. It would be nice to have a regular deck and then have the option to add another deck over the cab. I bet there would be a decent market for such a deck better then hauling a 4 place enclosed.

DOT in BC

One thing everyone has to remember, is to keep within your GVW. Here in BC (I live in the South Interior), they have pulled over numerous hunters and heavily fined them. Typical scenario: One Ton truck, camper, trailer, freezer, two rhinos (or 2-4 quads), loaded with fuel, water, food, booze, etc. These vehicles are overweight. Even if you don't get caught by DOT, if you are in an accident, your insurance could be void.

The 3-place deck I drew up has a removeable section for the third sled. This whole system with 3 sleds, 3 dudes, gear, fuel, etc. was just under the GVW of my 1 ton dually 4-door. That truck died, now I have a 3/4" ton ext-cab. Now I'm over weight with my deck and 2 sleds! I need an aluminum deck...

GOOD TIMES, I feel sorry for the poor peoples families who are killed by some IDIOT who thinks four sleds on a rig is legal. Three sleds is pushin it to the limit. One ton, whatever. ALUMINUM or not. YOU CANT put four factory weight sleds on ONE pickup within the confines of GVW and the law. Full of gas? Three normal sleds on a diesel pickup is questionable with regard to the deck and sled sizes and mods..............are we being freakin CHEAP or what? put them in the trailer.....

HardcoreAK... I know what you're saying and I'm not saying that I agree with the guys doing the 4 spot sled decks but you can be legal with todays trucks. A buddy has a F450 long box dually and sells one of the biggest cab overs I've seen, HOST Everest which weighs close to 4000 lbs loaded. So a sled deck holding 4 sleds is nothing for this truck and it's well withing the GVW. But very few own a truck that can do it safely.

The one we built 10 yrs. ago, the third sled went in the middle backwards with the track on the headake rack.(can't find pics)
