the 2.5 -15-174 will fit perfect, the 3" will not fit stock, you have do do 2 things 1) Avid chaincase 2) cut track on tablesaw as there is no 15 wide 3" track made only a 16 wide that will not fit. Its a good mod tho..
ah crap, forgot the 3 inch was only in 16" wide. the reason i ask is because my pro 155" is amazing in all stock form w/ stock track.
being me, i cant just leave my sled alone, i always feel the need to get more out of it. I want to keep my warranty so i was just wondering about tracks etc.
i would consider a...
155 camo extreme
163 camo extreme
Im not sure what to do yet, i think avids extended chaincase and new extovert drivers would make this sled even more unstoppable
one inch down and one inch back. I put one on my assault with extro drivers and 153 PC track, there is an 1 1/2" clearance from track to the top of the tunnel.
so you got avids new extended chaincase? how has this affected your ability to get up on the snow instead of trenching through it?
trenching is that assault track you have its made for more setup snow, dont matter what polaris track you run there all horrible trenchers ask zane what it did for my sled switching to CE. Me and hooch would be neck and neck on a hill "stock sleds" at that time he had a 153 i had a 163 i put the 174 on and it wasnt even close where hooch would get stuck i could go up and help him get unstuck then turn up and keep going. if your stuck on keeping it a 155 get a 155 CE for the deep then switch back to the stock assault track for spring as that track hooks up hard on spring snow
i have an rmk not assault
and i didnt ask if it trenched more because I wanted to know, i asked about how it got up on the snow in comparison to stock because it was brought up earlier by "800poodragon" and is a valid point
obviously robbie built the ext chaincase to gain clearance for 3" paddles or whatever
not sure if fasttrax has a drop out for the pros yet but the avid is alot easier to install as your only moveing the drivers, fastrax you gotta move the drivers and jackshaft,
Actually we partenered with Robbie this summer while building our Pro chassis show sled to help develop the(Avid) Pro extended case. So that is what we sell for the Pro chassis-I've got them (Pro cases)in stock if anyones interested.
And yes, the Pro extended case kit is WAY faster to install than our IQ D&R!
Our IQ drop and roll is the only one that requires moving both shafts.
Also, if you haven't already seen them, Avid has a pretty slick tunnel extension for the Pros--Robbie just sent me one for our Pro 174 project and me likey!
