i thought i heard a few guys had put 3 pitched tracks on the new xp doo and they worked. any feed back on this. i have a 154 and i would like to go longer 163 or so. anyone out there hear of this. let me know
thanks
It will work, but why would you want to do that. It wont roll as easy, it will bind up on you and I think it would be more likely to ratchet. I think it is a bad Idea. Just pony up some extra cash and buy some new drivers. Whats another $150 when you are already buying a new track? Just my 2 cents
Every person I've heard that swapped to a 3.0 hasn't has one issue.
If you look at the Avid CNC'd drivers which are 1/4" smaller they're actually a 2.88 pitch.
There's a few threads on this site confirming this and also Dootalk. http://www.dootalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=175718&hl=extreme
I've never heard of any problems, and never tried it myself but it just seems like if you have a 3.0 pitch track that is what you should run for drivers.
Yeah and everyone running a 3.0 suggests Avids 7 tooth CNC'd drivers.....which are 2.88? and $230???
You and I can argue about this all day but the fact that Camoplast is coming out with a line of extreme tracks with a 2.86 pitch makes this irrelevant. http://snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86639
