2nd ride 1100t

Got the 1100t's out again yesterday. Not as much new snow as we expected. Still able to get more of a feel for it side hilling and power turning. The chassis just works for a heavy sled. Most guys will be very happy with this sled. Throttle response is great for a turbo four stroke. Power delivery is smooth and it just keeps on pulling. We put a straight pipe on one of our two sleds during the ride just to see. Seat of the butt dyno says there is definitely more power there. The straight pipe is not as loud as I was expecting. I've said in other posts I thought it was too loud, well that was with the sled on the concrete. The straight pipe has a really cool sound to it. This sled is for the guy who wants more power and torque. If you loved your m1000, but wanted more power, this sleds for you. If the weight of an m1000 was too much for and you didn't care as mouch about the power, then stick with the m800. I'm just glad I have both. The only thing that will make this sled better is a vert. post. I dont think it needs the narrower stance as much as it needs the vert. post.

1100t

Agree 100% with you, great power and handling...It has to get the vertical post asap though............Have any sound clips of the straight pipe? Kind of leaning that way myself.

Would really like to here a video with the M1100T with the straight pipe installed on it.
I have the D&D straight pipe - just missing the sled still.....

For anyone who has or will have an 1100. Check your oil lines going into and out of the oil tank. On one sled the top scavenging Hose came off the top of the tank while riding yesterday. Oil all over the chaincase side of sled. The other 1100t had the oil line on the bottom of the tank leak at the gasket. Drained all the oil out of the sled and onto the trail floor this morning. Would have really sucked to have lost all the oil while riding

Sorry, 'trailer' floor. Definitely wouldnt dump oil on the trail. Have enough problems with the greenies already.

Thanks turbo583 to linking to that video. BTW, in the YouTube video it says carbon fiber exhaust. We started the day with the carbon muffler and then changed it out to the straight through.

And surprise, surprise, the cat turbo 0/40 weight oil is on back order along with the 1100t belts.

What holds the hoses on? Normal hose clamps that can be tightned?

Ps thanks for the vids, wish you had wicked it a few climbs so we could hear it wot.

The top hose had the spring clamp on it, so no way to tighten. The bottom hose is attached to the oil housing by a plate with an o-ring. Th o-ring was pinched when installed and leaking, not the actual hose.
