Hop over there & vote for a date if you're interested. Planning on doing some basic searches/ practice, and getting a couple crews together to sign up for some of Duffy's on the snow classes (snowies, vail, or the mesa). If we get some practice we can make better use of our time in his class & get more out of it.

Hoping to get a crew like we had last year, it was a great time!

Kaleb

Thinking one of the weekends in Nov, I just want to set it up for the day that the most people can make it, so you guys vote & we'll schedule accordingly!

Not a single response???

You lazy barstids!!!!!:D:D

I know some of you responded on the gaybook invite, but get yer butt's up & running, it's almost time to play!!!

Gonna have free Chili, lots of geeky avy gear to play with, a Sledbetties:cheer2: premiere after we're done & a chance to come remember how to save your buddy's life!!!

ttt

Got chili coming from a buddy who makes soup, got some copies of the mag that Abby is on the cover of, and we'll have some copies of sledbetties that we can sell also! Planning on doing the premiere at Tommyknockers in the HO btw.

You're not invited... just everybody else.

I think this pic of your mom is perfect for this situation...............

Can you give me more details on what this is, when & where??? Also, are you still having the sled betties deal afterwards?

PM'd you.

My account still won't work, so I'm using Abby's.

Those of you that are coming:

A couple of things to keep in mind, PLEASE READ!

Please try to park intelligently, we'll have a rather full parking lot.

Please be respectful of the skiers, if you have a philosophical beef with them... choose another time or place to argue it. We get along just fine up here, it's not buff pass.

Keep in mind the 12" rule (riding only legal over 12" of base), there are some areas that are filled in... and others that never do at Jones. There's a good chance that we'll have folks watching, so don't ride in places that we're not supposed to.

when you get to the lower basin (at the wooden fence) DO NOT RIDE IN THE WILLOWS!!!
It is illegal to ride in there until it is covered, and I will gladly PERSONALLY report people who can't follow that rule. It's my back yard, I want it to stay open! They closed that meadow to early season & 4 wheeler use a couple years ago (Ptarmigan really do nest there... and ptarmies are badass birds (they've got built in snowshoes which makes them cool in my book... so it sucks running them over), . It's a very high visibility area & a lot of the regulars up here volunteered for the reclamation work, so they keep an eye out for people riding in there till it's filled in.

Planning on meeting at the lower wooden fence at 11:30, (right next to where we can't ride) and I'm thinking we can do our practice right on the other side of the fence. If that doesn't work, we'll just go to the upper basin, but weather should be better down low.

A buddy of mine was there yesterday, plenty of snow & we can park in the parking lot no problem.

See you guys there at 11:30!

hope you guys had a good day....i was cutting more holes in my $10,000 hood.

one of those white birds chased me for like a mile up there a couple of years ago when i was tuning. i didnt have my helmet on because i was constantly stopping and the damn thing wouldnt leave me alone. i had to out run it....pretty funny. right there on the main trail before the fence and open space/bowls when you go left.

That one wasn't a Ptarmigan, that mentally challenged animal bugged the piss out of people all winter long... till a buddy of mine jumped off of his sled & brought it down for dinner on a night ride they were doing. I hear it tasted yummy. He was annoying as hell, surprised someone didn't off him sooner. A buddy of mine had to huck him with a shovel to get him to leave them alone when stuck one day!!

Kaleb if you practice on a day other than Friday-Sunday I would certainly be in for it. Not sure if anyone else has a screwed up schedule like myself!?!
