2500 HD 6.0 gas opinions

6.0l in a 3500 chassis with a Quigley 4x4 very high stock gears. 3.08 I think. The engine does well. Tapped out on the rev limiter in 2nd gear on the big I70 hills 57mph. Will not pull 3rd. 8k in the trailer. It is not my 2500 duramax for sure. I had to do rear springs, air bags, and sway bar. The tong weight of the trailer is 1100lbs. I'm liking the van option this season. I am always looking for a gas station. 8mpg. and a 35gal tank.

Got to use it for pulling today. I have always dreaded pulling my skid loader trailer empty or loaded until now. The trailer has 6500lb axles on it so it hops, jars, bounces, pushes and hammers the hell out of your back. Not now I had a 3500 lb car on it for about 50 miles and the HD handled it perfect. I can't say enough about the feel and ride quality of this truck. Hard to get an average on a short trip with a new truck but the instant mpg for the short trip was 10.6 with a 6000lb load. After only owning this for only 5 days I can honestly say I probably will never buy a 1/2 ton truck again.
 
Strange, but the 6.0L in a GM van has about 80 less HP than the 6.0 offered in the HD trucks. Torque is close. Only diff I saw is vvt on the trucks.
 
That 6.0 is a great engine. Iron block and aluminum heads. Turn the radio up, ignore the tach, put your foot in it and let it rap. Makes power from rpm. You won't hurt it let it turn.
 
I am still having a very hard time with this statement.
A picture would be quite beneficial on this one.

He said he tows everything UP TO 85K with the list of vehicles. He didn't say he tows 85k with a half ton. The statement means he was using that list of vehicle types to tow trailers in the 0k-85k range. Let's move on.
