Never seen it until watching the news later that night. I was working at a Honda shop.

I was in 6th grade in the special ed room trying to learn math! Terrible thing that happened can still see the image in my mind but sure can't figure them there numbers out yet!

I was in the US Air Force station at Elmendorf Afb Ak. I had just got off a 12hr grave shift and was sitting in the dentist office waitning for an exam. Was watching the lift off live....Everyone in the room was speechless. It just couldn't be real:eek: Sad day for for sure:(

Happy Birthday bud.

I was just a hair under 2 years old, my parents can still remember what I was wearing that day and how I just sat in front of the TV at watched the whole day. I would look over the news paper and just stare at the pictures too I guess. I have always been interested in plane crashes and such as weird as that may sound. I remember watching the news over and over again when that DC-10? lost all hydraulics and crashed in Sioux City IA …if that was in 89 I would have been about 5. I remember where I was standing in my parents’ house when our governor along with my best friend’s dad was killed in a plane crash in 93 when I was in 3rd grade. I remember within 100 feet of where I was on a gravel road driving to school the morning of 9/11 when it was just known that some type of airplane hit the world trade center. I remember that I was standing on the lip of the finish line double checking the track out for a MN regional sno-x race in Willmar MN when they announced that Columbia broke up coming back into orbit. Weird how that stuff sticks.

Oh, I was herding crazies!:face-icon-small-win

I was in 7th grade watching it with our science teacher (who had applied for the teacher in space program). It was very strange watching that with him. It was very hard on him watching that...understandably.
