I haven't been there in a couple of years but the Yacht club was a pretty cool bar. Maybe it has changed. Glad to hear that you are sledders too (I was hoping).

The yacht club is the best bar in McCall the other ones are always full of greenies. Yacht club is always a good time.

Do you think it is better than Foresters? I dont care for the Yacht club because it's so dang smokey! Foresters is smoke free and a nicer layout IMO. But it's all good as long as your in McCall! Right?
So it's back to snowing - rained a lot here yesterday and night before but mostly been light snow showers today some of the mountains were socked in before dark so hopeing for a good day or two at the end of the week!

You do have a good point, i forgot that people can still smoke in there. Just might head to another bar then for a while, be down there the 26-30.

Beside the Mill is across the street from the The Western Mountain Lodge, maybe a mile north of Super 8. Foresters Club and the Yacht Club are further north right down on Lake Street - one on the lake side and the other across the street next to Chevron. Lardos is another great place to eat and hang out for drinks - your sure to run into plenty of sledders there. It is at the North West end of town across from the Shore Lodge.

We'll be riding tomorrow with a goup and most likely be hitting up Lardo's for dinner after sledding (always try to sit in the bar area) then maybe go hit up Foresters a little later. Dont have a riding group for Saturday as of yet so maybe some of us can make some plans tomorrow night.... we'll probably be taking off from Titus both days.

Man, they must have done some work to that place! LOL Use to walk in and hit a wall of smoke! And you'd notice you were walking a bit weird, oh ya because your feet were sticking to the floor! LOL
I miss Forresters....... saw alot of funny stuff there, alot of fights, some good nights of dancing. Good times over all!

So what's the story mtn_extreme?
We did not start any avy's today but we started fractures in pretty non-consequential stuff, had bottoms falling out from under us and had small slides coming off cliffs above in a certain areas - stuff just all the sudden started pouring over the cliffs right as we aproached.... so we stayed in the trees and creek beds and ohh man! What a killer time we had! Snow was awesom and we had beautiful blue skies!

by the sounds of it phil and heston set of a few yesterday, john called me yesterday after noon to tell me about the biggest one he'd ever seen in person that he set off. 200 or so yards long acrross the ridge and a good 2+plus ft shelf that went. said it was nutz. if i heard right darrel's buddy vern got partially burried yesterday and darrel had to dig him out as well. be careful guys and hopefully it sets up by tomarrow because i wanna play!

It was a huge slide. I actually saw 3 others yesterday so we decided to play in the trees also.
There were 19 washington vehicles in the upper parking lot yesterday, way more than locals. You guys be careful and don't go where you don't know. Stay in the trees as there is plenty of fresh and some good riding to be had.

I'm headed there to ride Monday, Tuesday, and possibly Wednesday, hoping the weather will be decent, but with my luck it will fog in and rain and clear up as my rig leaves town. That avy you all are referring to must be the one the Payette avalanche guy talked about in his report for today. I'm bringing my abs bag, but will stay outta danger zones, don't want to have to pull the pin on it.
