2025 throttle cable

Currently have 2022 RMK Boost. Does anyone know if the 2025 throttle cable will work on the 2022? I like the idea of the new coated cable to help with throttle freezing issues.

I believe it's the entire assembly (the "throttle system"), from the engine to the flipper.

So far my observation is that it's slightly harder pull, but much much smoother and looks like it'll last.

Betting there's a way to retrofit... the whole shebang. Call your dealer?

I have both the '24 and earlier cable and the '25 cable on my workbench right now, and they're not very different from each other. The cable travel and ferrules are the same. The cable itself is a little thicker on the '25 due to the coating, and the housing stop at the bars is 1.5mm wider. I'm still able to get the new housing stop into an old lever assembly without modification. I didn't try to get the c-clip into place.

I think a retrofit isn't out of the question, and it might even be a direct swap.

As long as the throttle body end is the same I’m gonna try one. Thanks for the info. I can’t believe it’s taken this long for Polaris to update this decades old problem

I did the cable swap on my 22 Boost and used an old housing due to them being on backorder from Polaris through January 2025. I bought a 7mm c-clip from a local hardware store and did some drilling to enlarge the pilot hole on my older throttle block. Works well so far… that said, I was previously using a billet throttle block and there’s not enough room to enlarge the hole on the aftermarket block… I have the new block on order through a dealer… it’s $35 🤷‍♂️
