Just a fun little fact I thought some would like to see.

1997 is the historical industry peak for sled sales. Over 300k sleds built that year. Yammy had their new triple, poo their new twins and some sled named the RMK showed up, doo was in y2 of the liquid s chassis, sold a ton of 583, and 670 MXZs and Summits, AC had suke twin and trip trail sleds, and Poo and Doo were still pushing 600-800 trips as the market swung to twins. Most of these sleds were under 6k US. Sled choice nirvana.

That's a lot of orders! Nice to see a manufacturer listening to their customers.

Although I do suspect with so much uncertainty last year surrounding covid and the expected chassis update, the numbers were super low compared to most other years.

My local dealer said they'd typically snowcheck about 30 sleds, but did over 100 this year, 20 of which were boost. Big increase!

So, would this be an indicator that delivery delays are to be expected?

National Parks are most certainly done. Any Federally controlled land its game over for snowmobiles. Also any State land riding areas are going to get pressured to close. This is coming from a very reliable source at a high level. I’m glad I did not spend my money just yet. This sucks bad!
