2020 Alpha Throttle Hesitation

Hey Guys,
Has anyone experienced on there 2020 or previous ctecs a 4-5,500rpm hesitation? Runs awesome on the mid to top end but the low end does not want to get going. Some guys on the Alpha one face book forum have been experiencing the same thing. It was suggested to unplug the throttle sensor and see if it clears it up. Anyone here have any helpful advice?
Thanks!

On my 19 I had noticed under slow cruising along a trail probably holding the throttle just right and slowing down a tad, probably about that rpm that there may be a slight hesitation/bog for a second when I give it more throttle again, it's a new to me sled so I'm unsure if it's the muffler or not well but runs good otherwise and no bogs at all 99% of the time.

Mine does the same thing i think, slight hiccup around 4500 rpm. I was gonna post about it but i figured id wait til its through break in

Mine is alot more then just slight. you have to really hammer it to get it through the issue. The 2019 i demo'd had 0 issues at all! Hoping someone has found a fix ! I will respond if i do for sure.

No issue here. Couple guys I ride with have experienced it. Tried telling everyone to unplug the TSS before you ride it but nobody wants to listen...

Please explain more and i will try this tonight. Unplug the Sensor at the throttle body? ride it unplugged and see if it is gone? if it is gone its a bad TSS ?
Thank you for your help

L side by the coolant cap is a loop in the plastic with a bunch of connectors and the throttle safety switch is the black and yellow wire with the gray plug. Just unplug it and always put on you tether.
the one at 4500 I would get past break in first. lots of extra oil and fuel in the map

What he said. Unplug it and run your tether. Even if this isn't your current issue eventually it will be an issue. If that doesnt fix it my next bet would be snow ingestion. Inspect your intake with a flashlight and seal any gaps with silicone.

Id start by making sure throttle cable is adjusted properly first. hold throttle pin from pivoting up to engage the TSS and see how much slack you have before it pulls on cable. wiggle back n forth. should just be a tad. slightly less than credit card thickness from throttle lever to the block on my 17.

So after all day yesterday asking questions it looks like my Exhaust Valves were never adjusted at the dealer. I am part of the Artic Cat shutting down small knowledgeable Dealers and sending me to a large dealer who hasn't ever even had Cats. Cats the only one with mechanical power valves. They never touched mine. One is 2mm off (too tight) 34.5mm instead of 36.5 and the other is less then 1mm. I only had enough time to take apart and measure with calipers last night. Will report back with, if properly adjusted, it solves my issue.

Dealer isnt going to check before delivery

A dealer would only check the powervalve adjustment if there was an issue. Definitely not a normal part of setup
its true but they should. too bad so many dealers give the pre-delivery setups to the new guy, since there's instructions and its pretty simple stuff. wouldn't want those guys touching that anyways.

Anybody have any updates on this? I have a couple of friends that their 20 are doing this. They got significantly worse with an SLP can. My 19 with a SLP can runs flawless

My 20 has had an SLP can since new, and it has an annoying surge, hesitation between 4500 and 5000 at steady throttle. once past that rpm its great.

Yup. i have 3 20s that all have that same "dead spot". my 19 runs flawless though. really weird.

I have 2020 runs perfect after adjusting power valves and breakin. I was using a buddies npp race can for a while and it sounded like it had a dead spot but the sled never looses or hesitated in momentum. I now have a ggb mountain can for 2020 and can’t hear it.
Do you guys hear it and or feel the dead spot?
