I’d think it would take direct injection for that “shot” system to work cause I believe it only gives u half a crank. Who knows maybe that what we’ll see.:juggle:

Operating shot on Polaris??
I think you need an engine that starts on first pull before shot is an option.
That would be pretty sweet if Polaris made a sled engine that started as nice as the etec does.
I ride an axys and am sick of the 2 pull start when warm on the hill.
2-16s and a '18 this year and all like multiple pulls

Huh, my 14 never wanted more than one pull after warm. Not saying you’re wrong just different observations.

Waas with a friend that has 2-'15 pros. He and his riding buddy hold a little throttle with one hand and pull with the other. Both of his start 1 pull with this method when warm.

I've been around plenty that do start 1 pull, just seen and owned several that need more.
I've owned 1 etec and ridden with many others.
I've yet to see one that needs more than a half tug when warm to start. That's why the shot is so effective.

Even if one pull. How many revolutions in that one pull? 3? Not gonna work if shot system only gives u 1/2 a rev. Direct inject getting gas to combustion chamber right away is the key.

When the SHOT first came out there was all this talk about how it would only work on a direct injected motor, the motor had to be a technological marvel for SHOT to work, and so on and so forth. Then one guy came on and said his company was experimenting with something like this years ago and it worked on old carbed sleds from the 90s. So it should work on anything.

Anyone know what the first thing is in the video? Circular with holes around the perimeter? At 1 sec.

It looks like a balanced flywheel. The holes around the perimeter are different sizes.

I believe we are going to see a turbo trail sled.
At least that’s what the graphics indicated when it just drove by me.

Turbo switchback assault would be killer.

Have to see. 7pm central

I just dont see the need for a turbo "trail" sled but thats me. I suppose some places have good trail systems but a turbo seems overkill.

I have a big bore and it is more than enough for around these parts or on any trail i have been on, couldn't imagine a turbo.

Might just be their way of testing a turbo motor before introducing it to the mountain market though.

What is this? Copper coils? Where why :juggle:

Stator? I think they need their own version of the Doo Shot as well. I wouldn't leave Polaris if they didn't, but people come to expect one manufacturer's improvement be added to their manufacturer.
