2019-2020 Black Hills Conditions

I would like to avoid trailering so I'll call the lodge. Their website is down so I wasn't able to check availability there.
Hopefully this thread is full of new snowfall totals!
Thanks
No problem! Also fun fact trailshead has cabins you can rent as well. You can check into that as well and like I said they are smack dab in the middle of everything. Sorry I maybe should have mentioned that earlier haha. Cheers

No problem. I'm sure we'll find a place. Thanks again

Our group has been looking for a new place to ride as well we have been doing the U.P. Thing for awhile now looking for a new adventure. I like the bar stops the u.p.has to offer what’s it like riding around the black hills area plenty of stops?

If you are looking to bar hop you would be better to stay with UP, Wisconsin or Minnesota. If you want to ride the Black Hill will have a lot to offer. Great trails, scenery, and off trail opportunities you will not find in the eastern states. We have nice trail stops but the numbers are limited and most are closed by 9pm. You will not find much night riding. Most of our trails are in remote areas with no plowed access or services for miles. We are not as remote as the big Mountains out west but are very remote compared to the Eastern states.

Does Trailshead actually own the lot across the road? For some reason i have in my head they don't own that lot. Anyone know for sure?

Yes they do own the land the lot is on. They own a strip of land on that side of the highway from Rifle Pit road to Rapid Creek Road.

Time to start the Black Hills conditions thread. It is early but the base is coming along excellent. Rode a little yesterday Trailshead and North. 12-16 inches of snow in most areas. Snow is good and dense. Was able to ride off trail on a safe meadow and the sled stayed on top. Trailshead is reporting 54 inches of snow fall so far this fall. A cabin owner near Cement Ridge is reporting 62 inches of snow fall. Trailshead did not reach 54 inches of snow last year until December 31st.
Nice start to the year for sure..
