With the 2018 High Country on Hard Pack/Trail (FYI 153 2.25) Are the Scratchers needed For Cooling or Track Lube?

I would say both.

Yes and yes if the trail is really packed in or icy. If the surface is soft and ducking the edge a bit you're probably good to go.

i would have some on that sled. on hard pack it will help with temps and extend the life of the hifax i usually only run with one down so if i accidentally back up i only break one.
