2017 Switchback Assault - Ice Scrapers

We have had the standard spring loaded ice scrapers in the past. With the way the track is designed, putting them up and away was next to impossible. We initially pulled a set of wheels off to install the scrapers in that location.


Any ideas as to another brand or design that is a better fit for this sled? I'd prefer not to drill new holes.



I have also gone through more than a few ice scrapers in my life by breaking them off while in reverse.



Interested if anyone has had similar issues and what they found the best solution to be.

I installed duraflex cable scratchers on my 18 Assault with the One Rig Design mounts. They work really well and no need to drill holes.

You will have to drill some holes to mount, but the ski-doo ones are hard to beat.

I added the longer snow flap from the SKS 3" track model and I haven't needed scratchers since... Prior to that I broke about every pair of spring style scratchers I mounted because there really isn't a god spot to put them on the skid. Mine were contacting the torsion springs.

Ski Doo makes a set that mounts on the tunnel and if I ever decided to bolt scratchers on again that's the route I would take.
