2017 pro rmk 800 overheating

To make a long story short
Today i accidentally overheated my motor to (90deg celcius)194 on hardpack trail... A 2017 800 pro rmk
The check engine was on but not Flashing, ride the sled in fresh snow
As soon i have seen the light to drop temp.

Any chance to have some motor damage???

Thank you and by the way awesome forum with a lot of great info

Its not good for them, but its not the end of the world. It will go into protection mode and shut the sled off if you wouldnt have got it cooled down when you did.
Just remember you always want the scratchers down on the trail with these sleds and even some times that wont be enough. you can also pile snow onto the tunnel to help cool it off too. Eric

Should be fine, didn't even get to the shutdown mode. Hi Fax is also a big concern on hard pack, always run your scratchers on hard pack or make very frequent trips off trail into deeper snow and spin your track.

Took my sled up to 205 deg F on its maiden ride when I clipped a tree which took off my snow flap. I didn't know it was missing till I saw the temp gauge.

However, since you have a '16 Axys, it is probably toast and I'll gladly offer you $3k for the remains.:face-icon-small-dis
