I have a '17 Pro 155. Most of my riding is at 9,000-10,000'. Will the stock setup be fine or should I change weights?

I'll be the one guy who differs here...LOL

Stock, my Axys was a little all over during break in. I didn't have enough weight. The sled was hitting the rev limiter with the stock setup (62's). I ride 9.5k-12k. Strange huh? Once I hit break in I stopped messing with Polaris weights and went to the SLP Pipe/Can combo and wow did it come alive.

Per the cluching chart- I run a bit diff now but 8,000-10,000 per chart is 10-62's & 10,000 to 12,000 10-60's
Check to see what you have in there but my bet 10-62's is what you received...

I'll differ on this as well. Stock pipe/can, ride mostly 11-12,000+. Manual said 60g... Wasn't crisp, wasn't hitting RPMs. Went to 10-58s and the sled came alive much more.

Really going to be a touch of trial and error.

I just installed the SLP pipe/can and new springs but have not gotten weights yet (stage 2 but I was able to piece everything together for much cheaper). Did you do springs too? And what weights are you running?

I ride 9-13k and run 58's and slp blue/pink in the primary. I also run black /purple in the secondary. I'm getting 8400 rpm usually.

I knew that question was coming next from someone. I can't seem to remember what I landed on as I tried a few different options. I got my pipe/can from Chris Burandt. He worked with me on testing a few clutching options. He was also doing the same as the SLP pipe/can combo wasn't available to him the spring before. I'll get out there and check and report back. It runs great right now. I was running my sled against the new Doo 850 and a well setup XM 800. I really held my own on the 850 until it would pull away with one to two sled lengths. It got more traction with the 3" than I did. I blew away the 800.

The 17 155's shipped with 10-64 weights. I am going to try the 10-62s since it isn't often that we are over 10,000.

They may have shipped with that but does that mean the dealer won't swap them during dealer prep?

The 10-62's are for 8,000 to 10,0000- after break in you might find that less weight may be the best-to hit the desired rpm

A lot on here this time and early last year said that the Axys was happy at 8100rpm- but for sure can tell you that with auguring ( and dyno runs @ 8,000') for awhile other came to realize that 8350 was pretty much the magic number mid- season-
Running stock pipe- but a light weight can...... Just something to shoot for while your clutching...
