2016 polaris pro

I think I'll let you guys do the first year or two of R&D, don't hear much talk of the new chassis being that much better than the pro and the current 800 has plenty of juice for me.

Agreed. Too many years of being the Guinea Pig on the race program for me.

And remember, the last model year of the current generation is, most of the time, better than the first model year of the next generation. Oftentimes it takes 2-3 years for the newest offering to get to where the previous generation ended up- and sometimes it never does. I can come up with many examples of this in the motorcycle and snowmobile industry. One of the best examples comes from the Arctic Cat camp. The Firecat never lived up to the cornering and overall handling prowess of the ZR lineup. Then AC came out with the twin spar- another step backwards in many respects, especially for the performance minded among us. I could continue on with MANY more examples....

By the way, what makes everyone think the Pro will get a new chassis next year? Maybe Polaris will stand pat with the best mountain sled ever made. Maybe a few refinements......

Relaaaaax...the -16 PRMK will be able to levitate, it'll have a hyposferical transfer drive with a dualcore flexmodulator directly in line with the supercalifragilisticexpialidocious connector......

Or they'll put the new HO engine, some new plastic and the new GPS display in it...

We'll just have to wait an see:face-icon-small-hap

Poo knows they have to offer new product to counter the T3 and XM gains in market share. It's all about Doo, AC has been committing market suicide with the M since 12. Poo is not selling out the 15 pros, and next year would be even worse - the Pro would look even longer in the tooth. Doo will keep taking share as long as Poo stays with the current 800 CFI, and Poo knows it. The 800HO is engineered for the Axys bulkhead, no brainer all around.

Gonna be a new chassis - won't say it will be light years better in 16 (like the Pro was compared to the IQ Raw), but it will stem the bleeding, and slow the peeling off of RMK buyers to XMs. There was a reason for the golden ticky.

Until then, some peeps are gonna get some very nice deals on a very good 15 Pro.
